On half distance between Portoferraio and Procchio, is situated one of the most beautiful and most fascinating bays of the Elba island.
Six hundred meters finest sand, the mediterrane Macchia reaches nearly up to the beach, beautiful hotels and a camping site directly at the beach, the shallow water which in-loads to water walks. The beach is connected by a rock nose with the neighbouring Scaglieri which exhibits completely similar characteristics. Numerous Bars and restaurants are at the bathers disposal. In some sections is the beach in concession and it is possible to rent beach chairs sun screens and pedalos.
Water sports such as Windsurf, diving and water ski can be practised here.
